Client Guidebook
The first morning here starts with breakfast and a schedule you can actually read. This guidebook walks you through daily structure, phone and visitor policies (these vary by program), and how your case manager supports you. Families have a place here too. Your loved one will not be doing this alone.
Client Guidebook, The Details
Your first morning at McKinney Recovery starts with breakfast at a set time, followed by a check-in with staff. The days here follow a steady rhythm. That structure is deliberate. Predictable routines lower anxiety when everything else feels uncertain.
A typical weekday includes:
- Morning check-in and medication, if prescribed
- Group therapy and skills sessions
- Individual time with your assigned counselor
- Meals, rest, and scheduled free time
Phone and visitor rules are not the same across programs. Detox has tighter limits than later stages. Ask your case manager for the current schedule that applies to your loved one. Policies can shift as someone stabilizes.
Your case manager is your main point of contact. They coordinate care, track progress, and answer the practical questions families ask most. Bring your list. No question is too small.
Families stay involved through scheduled updates and, when clinically appropriate, family sessions. We keep you informed within the limits your loved one consents to. That balance protects both trust and privacy.
